Tara 'Miss Rogue' Hunt doesn't like to play by the rules. She started her career over seven years ago in the Canadian marketing and advertising industry. She began writing a blog, HorsePigCow, about her struggle with being in marketing and being a consumer advocate in 2004.
In 2005, Tara moved to California to become the marketing director at Riya, where her community marketing theories were tested and resulted in huge results, like multiple national news mentions even before launch and over one million photos uploaded within 24 hours of launch. She doesn't believe in PR, only in the power of building relationships with your community.
More recently, Tara co-founded Citizen Agency, a consultancy that specifically helps companies (mostly startups) connect with their communities. Tara continues to blog, is a BarCamp evangelist and leads a community of marketing revolutionaries under the Pinko Marketing brand.
